This approach ensures that throughout their time at Hillcrest, children are being prepared for their eventual introduction to the adult world and to live independent and productive lives as members of the wider community.

How do Hillcrest individualise a child's care and education?

Hillcrest supports the strengths and interests of each young person placed. Every home and college identifies and encourages areas of development. Every young person has a bespoke Education, Care and Placement Plan to keep them safe and meet their social, emotional and educational needs, as well as an individualised risk assessment.

These plans are produced from assessments carried out within the first few weeks of the young person's admission to the home and are developed throughout the childs stay.
