Many of our foster carers have been with us for several years and have the experience of caring for a wide variety of children, including large sibling groups, older teenagers, mothers and their babies, and children with complex or special needs, requiring therapy and special education.

To date we have regularly received referrals from over 60 Local Authorities and we have been accepted on several Local Authorities' preferred providers lists, following their tender procedures.

Hillcrest can consider referrals for children and young people aged 0 - 18 years as well as young parents with babies or toddlers.

Staff will respond promptly to any placement requests and make available Form F's, reviews, checks and any other appropriate documentation necessary to assist Social Workers in making an informed decision regarding a placement. We will respond honestly and openly to all enquiries to ensure that appropriate placements are made and disruptions avoided.

Hillcrest Fostercare also offers a “sessional” service providing supervised contact as well as sessional activities for children in foster homes when required. Our sessional workers are all trained, experienced and regularly supervised by qualified social workers.
