EVERY CHILD MATTERS
At Hillcrest Care Every Child Matters to us no matter what the behaviours, issues or complications they bring with them. We continually strive to meet their needs and ensure each child have a positive experience of living with us.
Being healthy – all children in our care attend Doctors, Dentist, and Optician appointments. We also have links into local CAMHS teams and provide therapeutic input in the home environment.
Staying safe – our homes provide a secure and safe environment for children to develop. Keyworking sessions address personal safety and wellbeing issues.
Enjoying and achieving – our children enjoy activities such as horse riding, football, sailing, mountain biking, membership of guides, cubs cadets etc.
Making a positive contribution – our children play an active part in their care plans and contribute to their development of their Health and Education Plans.
Achieving economic wellbeing – we encourage children to save pocket money and start bank accounts and to understand the importance of financial management and budgeting.
We work closely to the 5 outcomes of the Care Matters agenda and have adapted our internal inspection process to reflect the expectations placed on local authorities to meet for example, PAF indicators and the National Framework Agreement.

Learning Disabilities Services for childrenEach of our children’s home encourages children to develop and grow in an environment that promotes a holistic approach to being healthy. The ethos of each home is to offer a safe and welcoming environment in which the children can practice educational and social skills, including activities for daily living to enable them to become as independent as possible.
