Residential Care Worker - Beachlands - Permanent Full Time (Hayling Island)
Salary: £18,355 - £20,830 per annum. Per annum
Hillcrest Beachlands, based in Hayling Island, is a registered children’s home for boys aged 12-18 years with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Our young people thrive on having fun whether that is playing outdoor games such as football and trampolining, or playing indoors on their computer games. The young people in our care are able to reach their full potential when in a vibrant atmosphere. We are therefore looking for a Residential Care Worker who will encourage them to have fun but also promote a nurturing environment and be prepared to set appropriate boundaries. The home is looking to provide basic life skills and help the boys move towards living an independent life when they leave. Experience of working with young people in a similar setting is not essential but to have made a difference to your own or other children’s lives through positive parenting skills would be a benefit. A genuine interest of proactively working with young people is essential. A full UK driving licence is essential.
